You're missing the point in satire...essentially it is to make you think past your entitled and comfortable prejudice and discover nuance...you know, the use of 'humor, irony, exaggeration, or ridicule' is there to enable you to laugh at yourself and your firmly held beliefs.

When's the last time you avoided the folly of hubris by laughing at yourself?
