Well said.

For me, and me alone, I took a deep breath during the hype and thought of Malcolm Gladwell's book "Blink".

Essentially, he argues that all humans have a sixth sense, the gut...or intuition. But like the appendix, living in our modern society, we've let it atrophy. No need to worry about the sabre tooth cat lurking around the water hole. We have CCTV just about everywhere.

So I tried to use my latent gut instincts while watching the 'highlights' of the interview.

I left thinking the following:

* Marriage is a contract. Wanting to be a Princess carries some expectations that a talent agent cannot simply remove from the bargaining table post-signing "I do."

* Being a Royal Princess is not a role in a Disney 'Frozen' script and tantrums may bring about repercussions from your fellow actors, thrust as they all are onto the stage...a stage which happens to belong to them too.

* Overplaying the victim card becomes disingenuous tedium when there is not one mention of accountability. Best advice I ever received: "You can only own your 50% of the 100% of the breakup."

*Playing the 'Race Card' without naming the offender is like using an air gun with gallons of nasty sticky spray paint against a whole extended multi-generational family. Sources matter. Credibility matters. Hard questions matter.

And such questions do not automatically mean that blaming the victim is at play. You throw yourself out there, baring your soul while excoriating every bloody one else, you better expect some pushback...unless because you are a Woke culture icon, you are immune?

What's next? Automatically believing all accusations? (Oh, I see that I am a tad late to this debate --oops and pardon me).

* She lived in Toronto, Ontario for the whole time she was a regular in 'Suits': 2011 to 2018. Canada has two national anthems: 'Oh Canada' and 'God Save the Queen'.

While it's almost always 'Oh Canada' sung during sporting events, during more solemn occasions 'God Save the Queen' is also sung. She's heard it before.

And she's American! 'My Country, 'Tis of Thee' uses the same melody as 'God Save the Queen!!!'

And for God's sake, she's an actress, she's used to having to memorize lines very quickly. And it's a sign of respect to one's adopting culture not some odious chore.

So, thanks to the trust I have in my gut, except when garlic infused calories-rich pizza slices, left over on the kitchen counter, beckon to me and I answer Yum Yum, the whole interview is best suited, and I mean no disrespect to the tabloids, on some 'Reality TV' ratings page. And everyone with a lick of sense knows that 'The Bachelorette', just like 'Flinch' or 'Big Brother' or 'Housewifes', is carefully scripted.

Wanting out of the contract, Meghan Markle simply dropped her script.

Thanks again for the good read and reflections.
