As there was a Bill before its Parliament, advocates (RSFL) wanted to change the age of consent from 18 to 15, remove all parental consent and allow children as young as 12 to change their legal gender, the Gov't wanted more data.

Imagine that! Empirical data. Gathered of course to hurt feelings and create even more Transphobia.

The stats alone gave them pause...since there had been a 1500% plus increase in the diagnosis of young teenage female gender dysphoria (2008-2018) they dared to opine 'no, we better make sure this isn't a case of 'social contagion'.

Fighting words of course.

But, shaking the shackled chains of absolutism is not a cogent riposte when it comes to the health of children.
