Really, what can anyone with a clear rational mind expect from many evangelicals, people who believe, even pray for, The Rapture?

There is solace I suppose in 'purifying the flock' through banishment. And how much better to have a closet of scarlet "H" letters to hand out from the pulpit.

"Here, brothers and sisters, let us make it easier for Christ on his Second Coming to sort out the Elect from the Fallen."

And to use the Bible as a template, much of the wisdom of course lost in translations from the 'Pagan' (Sumerian, Canaanite, Egyptian and Babylonian and ancient Greek) to the Hebrew to the Aramaic to the Greek to Latin to German to English, shows a lack of serious scholastic integrity.

It would be far more useful to read former Anglican minister Tom Harpur's 'The Pagan Christ' to get a good grip on the enormous academic material which shows the inescapable interconnectedness of all the major religions to their pagan roots.

Then I suppose that there are legions of evangelicals who believe that one should not mess with the God-ordained missives which purport that 'they' are destined to be one of the Elect, the privileged, who will sit on the clouds watching the wretched writhe in agony below.

Anything hindering that spiritual union with God, anyone who taints the community, well, mustn't let them drag us down with them.

No, the Evangelicals have embraced the Queen of Hearts methodology, wherein for the homosexual, 'It's off with their heads!"
