Oh boy…well said: dodges the laser beams.
I left out two central points to avoid the blistering.
- Some of the Swedish researchers called it a ‘social contagion’…IOW, conformity is at play.
- They also said that there was a significant comorbidity in the girls: eating disorders, anxiety, autism, learning differences, self-harm behaviors, as well as suicidal ideation to name the most prominent.
Dear me, it would appear that the fuel in the vehicles on this ‘highway to hell’ is filled with high octane virtue signalling phobic supreme.
So, on one hand we have National Geographic and its amazing articles on the wonder of the human brain in 2009 and 2011, with many neurologists of the opinion that it is not fully developed until on average the age of 25.
On the other hand, we have advocates shouting out that 7-year-old children know what their ‘real gender’ is and that by 12 they are old enough to decide to take puberty blocking medications, medications originally manufactured to treat perimenopausal women with endometriosis, or to chemically castrate pedophiles in prison.
One such off-label drug is called Lupron.
And here’s the kicker, if a scenario of evil but well meaning mad doctors administering drugs to children in order to change genders were to be published as a science fiction novel, written by the likes of H.G. Wells or Jules Verne or Aldous Huxley, they’d be labelled Transphobic and their books would be banned.
In 2017, I wrote a letter on this subject to one of my local paper’s braver columnists to urge him to write something about what I saw as a dangerous trend.
I did not expect him to publish it in its entirety. Indeed, I would have made some changes and corrected my mea culpa mistake between the American College of Pediatricians, which is Catholic, and the American Academy of Pediatrics, which is non-secular.
But it was the hate mail and death threats that didn’t surprise but nonetheless shocked me.
