Michael,

'Failing to prevent' if not enabling.

Once the war is over, he will have to face his own onslaught of important questions, some of which point to Machiavellian if not traitorous machinations.

* his overall plan to fund Hamas, for years, in order to keep the Palestinians disunited

* His Cabinet's failure to act upon its own intelligence regarding Hamas' battle plans entitled 'Operation Jericho', which Israel had for more than a year

* Ignoring Egypt's repeated warnings about the pending attack

* The incredible lack of a coordinated response not just for minutes but for hours and hours: failure of Israeli tanks to travel 60 miles in less than 12 hours.

* Was the Hannibal protocol enacted, wherein it is better to have a dead Israeli hostage than an alive one

* Using the war on Gaza as an excuse to illegally annex more West Bank land

* Was the war used to forestall demonstrations or dialogue concerning his government's Supreme Court changes
