Many Canadians, and South Africans for that matter, had and are having a hard time with how the Indigenous peoples in our two countries were treated.

Abysmally.

So Canadians took a page from Nelson Mandela's solution for a return to sanity and an end to apartheid in South Africa.

It's called Truth and Reconciliation.

And it's been a bitter process for most Canadians because we have had to face many truths about our history...much of it uncivilized and barbaric.

Israel must do the same.

To not would be to cement what Hyde and others are trying to say:

Israel can no longer claim the higher path, can no longer play the Holocaust card, can no longer sticky tape label any criticism as anti-semitic.

Israel has become a pariah state.

And the only way out is Truth and Reconciliation.
