Jill, I think you do a disservice to Jews when you label Netanyahu as the worst leader in Jewish history.
While he might like to attempt to, he doesn't have the elected right to speak for all Jews, does he?
He supposedly speaks for Israel, some 79.9% of whom are Jewish.
He's the head of the Likud party, leading a minority government, some of whom are openly calling for settlers to inhabit northern Gaza, some of whom call Palestinians cockroaches, some of whom want to ethically cleanse Gaza through forced deportation.
He is not the only leader who has besmirched an Israeli government, and by extension its people.
Who illegally annexed Syrian territory like the Golan Heights in 1981? Who allowed 700,000+ settlers to illegally and increasingly occupy parts of the West Bank?
Please tell me that these are not the actions of a Jewish people but rather the actions of a rogue nation, lead by unconscionable leaders who, under the protective aegis of 'Never Again', are ironically enacting some of the very actions their ancestors gave their lives to oppose, when genocidal madness rampaged through Europe.
