I've had two blocked and therefore disappeared responses. One I later regretted in that I had been so strident in my refutation of his bold assertion that white people created racism.
After I blasted forth with historical, recent and occuring genocidal acts, surely I opined, the result of race if not economics: Hutu-Tutsi Rwanda, Turk-Armenian and the occuring Han-Uyghur conflicts, the latter two having nothing to do with White people.
What he meant, after I suggested he study a bit more history, a few insults, was that White People had codified and therefore embraced racism.
But I only got that after a careful re-read, and was willing to admit my mistake, but by then I suppose our repartee had become 'abusive' on my part and so I was blocked.
Pity. For both of us I'd like to think.
And it is an act of censorship. I should be accountable for my wit or lack thereof, my lack of civility or even my sarcasm, just as should they.
Thanks for another good read.
Even laughed out loud, making the neighbour's cat, mr. fluffy, busy with his dirt-digging flower destroying morning ministrations, startle into a less enjoyable sit.
I see now that I must continue with this regimen.
