It was a setup, triggered by Marjorie Taylor Greene's boyfriend, Brian Glenn, who asked the 'why no suit' question.

As seen from behind MTG's head, that brought a congratulatory smile from JD Vance.

Gee, would any AP or Reuters representative, if they hadn't been unconstitutionally banned, have asked such an inane if not ignorant question of a leader showing solidarity with his military forces currently at war?

And then, JD Vance, who trots out his military service in Iraq without mentioning that he was a journalist with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing, wades in, and like a lecturing Cardinal putting a socio-centric priest in his place, demands that Zelenskyy kiss the Pontiff's ring.

It was just more proof that Trump, and Vance, and their hapless minions, are unbearably pro-Putin.

Any objection to this perspective?
