Hell of a lot more people were slaughtered because of their genitalia during wars...I am thinking 8.5 million men during WW I and 25 million during WW II...add in the trauma of being turned into a killer, and not just of soldiers but some 35 million civilians.

Not even touching the numbers of men killed in pleasant workplaces like coal mines or in the factories of the 19th Century.

First thing the Chartists did was ban women and children from the mines.
