Good article…thanks.

None of the expensive Patriot missile systems were activated let alone fired.

From Reuters — yesterday:

The attack is like Sept. 11th for Saudi Arabia, it is a game changer,” said a Saudi security analyst who declined to be named.

“Where are the air defense systems and the U.S. weaponry for which we spent billions of dollars to protect the kingdom and its oil facilities? If they did this with such precision, they can also hit the desalination plants and more targets.

Even worse, this whole situation is above Trump.

First: why provide automatic support to a regime which recently chopped up American journalist Jamal Khashoggi?

Second: the Saudis have invested in Trump and his son-in-law Jared Kushner’s real estate ventures — which puts Trump in a clear conflict of interest.

Three: The Saudis have been at war with Yemen since 2015, one during which the Saudis have targeted civilians, and one which has resulted in an humanitarian crisis with over 3.3 million women and children at risk of starvation because of an American-Saudi blockade. Yep, Americans seem to be able to starve children on one hand and put them in cages with the other.

Four: Both Japan and France have stated that they see no connection to Iran having carried out the attack. Wow, Mr. Trump, two of your allies don’t see it your way.

Five: Any misunderstanding of Iran’s geography cannot be fixed by a sharpie. Trump is wildly ignorant of Iran, Islam, the region in general and therefore his role in exacerbating the tensions.

He is so out of his depth that I fear that if he decides to attack Iran, as others have posted, it very well may lead to a global conflict. Hopefully, Congress can stop him.

Time to hold on tight.
