From 2008 'til 2015, Canada 'underwent' a Truth and Reconciliation process for the abuse carried out at our Government instituted 1896-1999 Indian Residential School system.

Since the Catholic Church was responsible for running 60% of the schools, most Canadians believed that the South African model would be followed: everything would be laid on the table.

How incredibly naive!

The Catholic Church refused to open its 'books' on the matter and now that hundreds of unmarked graves have been discovered, only then are they reluctantly agreeing to fully cooperate, once Canada and its Indigenous people have been re-traumatized as the wounds that had begun to heal were torn open again.

How can there be reconciliation if the truth is buried somewhere?

And still the friggin' church refuses to apologize...the sheer toxicity of its hypocrisy if not avarice should make taking communion the equivalent of swallowing a bitter pill and washing it down with the blood of children.
