One does not need to be raped or abducted to show empathy or outrage at another's abuse or murder.

IOW, a contrarian opinion needs to be dealt with in a constructive respectful manner, and not with what has become a nauseating overused blanket assumption of 'privilege'.
And one should not have to defend said opinion with a disclosure of sexual abuse. That's way too private, n' est pas?
