Art,

Maybe after the recent French report of some 330,000+ children, the majority boys, having been sexually assaulted over 70 years, and not just by Priests, but also Nuns, and coaches/scout leaders affiliated with the Church, will mean all criminals, and Clergy, will submit to a DNA test. (news sites at end of response)

Even more staggering?

So that's just the reported cases, men being by far the most reluctant to disclose, and that's in just one country.

How about we open the Church's books in all countries where, just like the Police, they held such vaulted often unassailable positions of power?

And once all the data is in, and the victims found, start offering the best of therapies.

It was not their fault. Compensation I guess some kind of balm for lives often ruined by self-soothing addictions and difficult social relationships.

Lamentably, we will also have to find out if their abuse created the worst of possible outcomes: the vampire's bite of pedophilia or some other psychopathic manifestation.

Find out how many of those poor 'children-now- adults' have positions of power over other children.

Damn, it would of course make a Witch Hunt look tame, and not all children sexually abused go on to commit the same against others, but the sheer number of victims justifies some level of vigilance.
