I'd say the knee jerk response to any criticism of Israeli malfeasance as Antisemitism is just as hypocritical and brittle.

If Canada or the US, or any other supposedly self-labelled civilized country, treated the Palestinians in the West Bank in the same way, then said country would deserve the title of pariah.

Canada has had to deal with its deplorable treatment of our Indigenous peoples...has been for decades. We took a page from Nelson Mandela's Truth and Reconciliation process. It has not been inexpensive: to the tune of billions.

The US has been trying to atone for its slavery, its Jim Crow laws and its apartheid (segregation) and in many ways has been very successful. Still has a long way to go say some but great progress has been made.

It's Israel's turn.

And the US, after it has shed its dog leash or had its wagging tail removed, has to help this current Israeli government turn the page on its murderous, land-grabbing, racist apartheid ways.
