AG:
So when I was studying WW II at university, my Prof, a former spitfire pilot in the Mediterranean theatre, delivered these two stunning facts:
The Allies were exposing their 'better' spies to the Gestapo as early as the winter of 1944-45.
He quoted from Sun Tzu's Art of War, on the use of spies, in particular the so-called 'disposable spies'.
Give these spies the information you want them to disclose when tortured.
But this doesn't account for the larger loyal German spies working for England, and other Allied countries, who, now that the war was certain to be won, were being exposed to hideous deaths at the hands of the Gestapo.
"No," Cunningham continued, "The narrative had already been decided, that there were to be no good Germans."
He continued, "It couldn't be seen that the Allies had help from any Germans."
The Cold War of course changed that.
The irony in the above?
From 1945 to 2018, the bad Germans have paid some $86.8 billion in restitution to "Holocaust victims and their heirs."
Imagine.
The most powerful economic engine in the EU, and Israel's largest trading partner, having to sit on its hands and suggest that the money sent to Israel NOT be used to break international law and build walls around a people: all because of their ethnicity and not being part of God's 'Chosen People'.
Why?
After all, they were all bad Germans who, according to Hollywood, must never forget that they were all once Nazis.
What's next?
Latent Nazi DNA markers in Teutonic blood?
The vilification of Germans was almost enough to make me ignore John Rabe or Oskar Schindler (thank you for that) or young Sophie Scholl, "who became famous as a member of the White Rose student group and an icon of the anti-Nazi resistance."
She was executed for her efforts.
