A.G.
Sobering read.
I spent 20 something years as a high school counsellor.
Remember when a colleague asked me if I had ever worked with a true psychopath.
"Well, there was at least one that I knew of."
He chilled me to the bone. Especially when I recognized that he was not just analyzing my responses but also my body language.
His narrative?
He was of course a victim of bullying at elementary school...how else to explain his immature 'pranks' at a new school?
No, he was a bully.
He didn't manage to stay at the school. He was expelled. And I was relieved.
A scant four years later, he smothered his elderly father to death.
Here's the kicker.
He recently appealed his 10 year sentence and won. The Judge bought his tales of redemption and gave him a second chance.
This better 'prison-trained' psychopath is now "wandering around unsupervised.'
